Central Astoria’s Annual Independence Celebration
will be held on Tuesday, June 30.

This annual event draws thousands of people to beautiful Astoria Park.
We are proud to announce that the West Point Concert Band, who have performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Avery Fisher Hall among other world class venues, will perform. The band is the Army’s oldest musical organization and we are honored that they have chosen to perform in Astoria Park for the Independence Celebration, a most fitting event for this great band from the US Military Academy.
The performance starts at 7:30PM and will be followed by a fireworks display by Grucci.
The event is possible with funding provided by Council Member Costa Constantinides, support from Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, and in part by public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council and our corporate sponsors
