In 2015-16, New York City Council Members will ask residents to decide how to invest public funds in their neighborhoods through participatory budgeting.
Through participatory budgeting, you can help decide how to spend public funds on community improvements to parks, schools, libraries, streets, and more.
Volunteer budget delegates from across the district spent last winter reviewing ideas proposed at our neighborhood assemblies. They conducted site visits, consulted with City agencies, and developed those ideas into project proposals for the Participatory Budgeting ballot. Community members voted for their top projects in April, and the winning projects will be funded in the FY2016 budget.
