    Summer is coming to an end, but don't fret, 
    Shore Fest is right around the corner!

    Community Voice Meeting
    Please join us for the next Community Voice meeting.

    by empowering public partnerships.






    Upcoming Volunteer Days

     Shoreline Cleanups
    Saturday August 29th, 3-5pm
    Saturday September 26th, 3-5pm 

    We will be partnering with Green Shores NYC to give the shoreline along Astoria Park some TLC!  This is your opportunity to hop over the wall and cleanup your shore.  
    We will meet South of the War Memorial before heading to the work area(s).
    Astoria Park Alliance will provide gloves and all necessary equipment. Please arrive comfortably, in clothing suitable for outdoor work (sturdy closed toe shoes). Bring water, stay hydrated!

    Free Yoga from The Yoga Room Studio on the Terrace Roof
    Sunday September 13, 5:30-6:30pm
    Bring your yoga mat and water.  Workout clothes are a must!


     
    Thank you to our community for helping keep Astoria Park awesome!

    Astoria Park is a pretty great place to spend a Saturday.
    Last week our  New York Cares friends and community volunteers tackled the Great Lawn, began restoration on the bocce courts, beautified gardens and tree beds and helped pick up trash.  We are so lucky to have such an enthusiastic group of volunteers.
    Thank you also to the Yoga Room for providing a restorative and wonderful class.
