NYC March 7Through a series of borough-wide meetings, webinars, and citywide gatherings, NY4P will be working more closely with our network of advocates to press for improved park conditions than ever before. Launching in the fall and winter of 2015-16, NY4P invites all New Yorkers to join us in shaping our advocacy agenda around our city’s open spaces. By working directly with the dedicated New Yorkers that care for our local parks, gardens, and open spaces, we hope that the feedback we gain from community members throughout the city will allow us to better understand on-the-ground conditions in parks, as well as identify trends that may be happening on both a borough-wide and citywide level.
Our ultimate goal is to build a network of advocates throughout NYC who can work with NY4P to push for a better budget for parks, and advocate for improved conditions in all parks in all neighborhoods. While NY4P hopes to gain feedback on park conditions, we also plan to provide advocacy trainings to help park advocates better understand the role they can play in calling for better parks for all New Yorkers. Join NY4P as we call on all New Yorkers to fight for our parks.
