Happy holidays, thanks, and 2016 wishes [APA]

Astoria Park Alliance would like to wish you and yours a happy and healthy holiday season.
We hope that 2016 is a year filled with progress, generosity and joy.

Thank you to all of the participants, volunteers and community members who helped make 2015 a wonderful year for Astoria Park Alliance. We look back at the year with great fondness for all we accomplished and all that helped us along the way.

We are an organization of community members that are brought together by a love of outdoor space, community pride and volunteerism. We could not do it without you, and for that we are thankful.

As we move into 2016, we are confident that we will meet and exceed the goals we have set for our organization.

We hope to see you in the Park!

Astoria Park for all New Yorkers

MulchFest 2016

Astoria Park Parking Lot
Saturday and Sunday, January 9th and 10th
10am to 2pm

Join the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation, the New York City Department of Sanitation , and GreeNYC  to recycle your Christmas trees into wood chips. These wood chips are used to nourish trees and plants on streets and gardens citywide. Or, take home your very own bag of mulch to use in your backyard or to make a winter bed for a street tree . More than 30,000 trees were recycled last year. Help us top this number!

Community Voice Meeting
Tuesday January 5th,  7-8:30 pm, Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden
Our monthly community meetings exist for you to learn about what is happening in Astoria Park and to make your voice heard! We cover planned agenda items, updates, and leave time for open discussion about other topics.

For our January 5th meeting, we will meet in the upstairs community room at the Bohemian Hall (29-19 24th Avenue, Astoria). Bohemian Hall is located next to the beer garden (to the right if you are looking at the buildings from the street).

Our monthly meetings are the best way to stay in the know about Astoria Park happenings. We cover upcoming events, advocacy topics, and other important updates for the community.
