Thank you to all those who attended the 2015 Partnerships for Parks Conference. It's wonderful that so many passionate individuals came out to share their success stories and learn from others. We had an eventful day filled with discussions on park equity, funding, best practices, and other valuable park resources.
Partnerships for Parks would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for attending our conference on Saturday, April 11, 2015. It was truly inspiring to be in a room filled with such passionate individuals striving to make a difference in their communities.
The success of this conference relied on the support of community group leaders, park enthusiasts, and volunteers across New York City.
At Partnerships for Parks we provide these services all year round through our various programs, including the Partnerships Academy and the Catalyst Program. Reach out to your Outreach Coordinator to see what opportunities you can access to help you steward your local park.

Strong communities make NYC great.
But what makes our communities strong? When New Yorkers use NYC’s parks and green spaces as places to celebrate, recreate, and learn, neighborhoods become vibrant communities.
Since 1995, Partnerships for Parks has been supporting these park-related community groups to help make NYC thrive. Partnerships for Parks (PfP) is the public-private program that supports and champions a growing network of leaders caring and advocating for neighborhood green spaces. We equip people, organizations and government with the skills and tools they need to transform green spaces into dynamic community assets.

It was a truly inspirational experience to meet so many energetic, motivated volunteers from across the city at the Partnerships for Parks Conference this weekend. Organized by the City Parks Foundation and NYC Parks, the conference marked Partnerships for Parks’ 20th anniversary of connecting volunteer groups to education and resources. I spoke at the conference along with Councilmember Mark Levine, City Parks Foundation Executive Director Heather Lubov, and other dedicated community activists.
